Office iQ Caster Concept

Client: Humanscale
Year: 2017
Role: Lead Designer

A conceptual addition to Humanscale's Office iQ line of activity tracking products, this was a specially modified chair caster that could detect when a person was sitting on the chair. Combined with unique location identifiers, this was presented a way for companies to track actual resource usage at hot-desks or conference rooms and optimize available space.

I quickly developed the concept with the help of mechanical and electrical engineers over the course of several months with the end goal of producing functional prototypes for display at CES 2017, where it was well received.
